The feeling of stepping through the door after a long day is hard to beat. Your entry hall welcomes both you and your guests into your home - how do you want that to feel? Choose lighting in your hallway, not only to illuminate, but also to create an atmosphere that feels inviting, warm and comfortable.
The hallway often doesn’t get much natural light, so the lighting in this room is even more important. Choose lighting that illuminates the hallway well for practical tasks and to minimise the risk of tripping, a ceiling pendant is ideal for this. If you wish to create a cosy ambience, perhaps consider also adding a wall lamp or a table lamp placed on a sideboard.
While the hallway is often a practical space, rather than somewhere we spend a lot of time, it is the room that welcomes us home and guides us between spaces. Use lighting to add a decorative touch to your hallway and give it a little personality. Perhaps a splash of colour or an eye-catching design will do the trick.
