The new Yuh
- a new interpretation of Scandinavian style
Since 2017, GamFratesi, founded by two Danish and Italian designers, has begun to introduce a softer Scandinavian design style. Louis Poulsen presents a new Yuh with brass poles and a black/white marble base, which will undoubtedly add a touch of sophistication to any interior.
"The old and new models have the same function, but the colors of the old models are more simple and rigorous, while the new ones add a warm feeling, and the marble also gives each lamp a unique touch." Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi explain.
Yuh is designed to fit fully into everyday life, with light that can move up and down as needed. It emits an unblinding light downwards, but the folds of the lampshade leave an elongated opening at the top, allowing for a soft, diffused light to shine upwards.
Since GamFratesi was so fond of indirect light, they added diffusers to Yuh. Built-in LED technology is a guarantee of quality light with a dimming range of 15% to 100%. The timer automatically turns off the lights after 4 or 8 hours, and it also fixes the brightness of the lights every time they are turned on.
In addition to the Yuh table lamp, the studio also launched the Yuh floor lamp and the Yuh wall lamp in 2017 as its debut at Louis Poulsen. These lights are available in both black and white styles. Now, it's time for something new.
"The new Yuhs is a combination of nature and technology, combining tactile and natural style." The GamFratesi team said.
The classic black/white Yuh complements most modern interiors, while the new Yuh creates some extra ambiance with the realism of high-quality Italian marble and brass, bringing the pastel Scandinavian style to life.
The new brass and marble Yuh will be available in stores from September 2019.
About GamFratesi
GamFratesi's design ideas are born from a fusion of tradition and innovation, which is reflected in their experimental approach to the use of materials and technologies of their choice.
