A perfect circle lights the way
- Meet the new Flindt Wall lamp
The new Flindt Wall joins the popular Flindt Bollard, bringing expressive illumination and thoughtful design to indoor and outdoor spaces. Based on the same carved-out concept as the cylindrical Flindt Bollard, the Flindt Wall continues this elegant aesthetic in the shape of a circle.
Copenhagen-based lighting, furniture, and industrial designer Christian Flindt (b.1972) has established an international reputation with his fresh, daring designs and an experimental approach geared toward inspiring new connections between people. Flindt graduated with an MAA and MDD from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002 and opened his own design studio in 2003.
The Flindt Wall is distinguished by a light egress from an opening in the top that sends light down the front of the lamp, creating a subtle glowing ring of reflected light on the transition between the fixture's concave and convex shapes.
A portion of the light is distributed backward, creating an indirect lighting component in the shape of a half-moon.
Design to Shape Light
Louis Poulsen has always sought, not only to design lamps, but also to shape light and create an atmosphere that makes people feel good, both in- and outdoors. The shape of light creates space and our products should live harmoniously within the space they define - indirect, soft and inviting.
