Schulen Seedorf — Seedorf, Switzerland

Background: The Seedorf School and kindergarten in Bern, Switzerland, is a listed historic building that has been sensitively renovated and extended to create an inspiring contemporary learning environment. Lighting was a crucial component of the design. Fittings needed to be visually sympathetic and, more importantly, create exactly the right lit conditions for both students and teachers. Shapes, materials and colours had to be coordinated with one another, and the lighting was carefully chosen to match the various specifications. All fittings marry form and function, carefully selected and installed to meet modern lighting standards and regulations, creating the best conditions possible for the teachers and students, while complementing both the original and the contemporary architecture of the school buildings.
