Danish Modern goes overseas
In the early 1950s, at the age of 38, Finn Juhl was commissioned by the Danish government to design the Trusteeship Council Chamber for the United Nations Headquarters in New York as a gift from Denmark. Also referred to as the Finn Juhl Chamber, it’s regarded as one of his major works today, playing a significant role in introducing the minimalistic Danish Modern design to America.
