Practical yet playful

A child’s room is home to hours of imaginative play, so furnishings and light fittings should be chosen with that in mind. Choose lamps for the children’s room, that are practical and made of hardwearing materials, such as metals and plastic rather than glass.

Though practicality is a priority, they can also be beautiful and decorative. You can select colours that go with the overall colour scheme or add contrast with a lamp in the children’s room.

The multi-functional space

Have fun creating zones in a children’s room, with the help of lighting. A general light is a good idea for lighting up the whole room perfect for play.

Additionally, it’s a good idea to select a table lamp with downward directed light for a small homework and drawing zone, and a wall or table lamp for by the bedside. Create a cosy atmosphere with another small lamp on a bookshelf or in the windowsill.
