Maison Diez Company was the result of a vision to create a space highlighting the beauty and importance of lighting in people’s everyday lives. Diez Company shaped this project by turning an illuminated mansion into an epicenter of creativity and innovation in the world of light. This unique and charming place became the perfect canvas for some of the world's best lighting brands to showcase their most stunning products and designs.
What does "good lighting" mean to you and how do you achieve it?
Good lighting, to me, means more than just illuminating a space; it's about creating an atmosphere, highlighting architectural features, and enhancing the overall ambiance. Achieving good lighting involves a combination of factors, including selecting the right fixtures, considering the placement and intensity of light, and understanding the needs of the space and the people who will be in touch with it. I achieve this by carefully curating lighting solutions that not only meet the practical requirements but also elevate the aesthetic and mood of the environment. I want to create magic with lighting always.
Where do you find design inspiration?
I find design inspiration everywhere – from nature and art to architecture and everyday life. Traveling to different places exposes me to diverse cultures and design styles, which often spark new ideas. I also draw inspiration from studying the work of other designers and keeping up with the latest trends and innovations in the lighting industry. Additionally, I find that exploring my personal interests, such as food and fashion, can lead to unexpected sources of inspiration that I can incorporate into my projects and my passion for lighting.
