Feel at home

We all know the sensation of feeling safe and welcome in a place, and no one has refined the art of providing that environment more than the hospitality industries. Comfortable surroundings lead to a positive experience and the desire to return. Whether we're visiting a hotel or restaurant for business or pleasure, we feel calm and at ease if there is a cozy atmosphere.

Light that
welcomes you

Danish design and designer fixtures are found in hotels all over the world. It all began in 1960 with Arne Jacobsen, who designed everything from furniture to cutlery for the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Today, the elegant AJ fixture from SAS Royal can be found in many hotels all over the world, including the Chapung SeBali Resort & Spa in Bali.

Interior design continues to be an important indicator of a hotel's brand and identity – regardless of whether it is a luxury or budget property. We see more and more hotels with living room-like public spaces – inviting people to linger, socialize, and feel at home.

A feast for
all senses

When we go out to dine, we need to be able to see the food and drinks in a way that awakens our senses and stimulates our appetites. If the light is too bright, (take a fast-food restaurant for example) we will eat much quicker and leave sooner. But if the atmosphere is right and we experience intimacy, even in a room full of people, we will linger over the table for hours and perhaps even order dessert.

Not only must the food and drinks look appealing, but it is nice for our dining partner to be seen in a flattering light as well. This is a cornerstone of our lighting philosophy - our light must create the best possible ambience, making spaces and even people look beautiful.

Design to Shape Light

Louis Poulsen has always sought not only to design lamps, but also to shape light and create an atmosphere that makes people feel good, both in and outdoors. The shape of light creates space, and our products should exist harmoniously within the spaces they define - indirect, soft, and inviting.

Hotel Bella Sky

A design stay

A striking piece of architecture and the largest hotel in Scandinavia, Bella Sky is comprised of two towers with turning facades joined by a walkway. The property boasts 23 floors, 812 state rooms, and 30 meeting spaces and conference rooms.

Its interior contains many Danish design icons, such as the AJ lamp that decorates the walls and desks in all of the rooms. In addition, the contour of the lampshades complement the triangular angles of the building.
