Louis Poulsen have received numerous prizes and awards for our light fixtures over the years. We are very proud of these, especially when the contribution of our lighting to architecture and human well-being is cited as the reason.
Our pendant Patera won 'Lamp of the year' at Design Awards 2016 in Copenhagen. Patera is designed in 2015 by Øivind Slaatto.
The designer Clara von Zweigbergk won the Bruno Mathsson award in September 2016. Clara is the designer behind our colorful pendant, Cirque.
The Flindt bollard received its second award in 2015. French I-NOVO gave Flindt the I-NOVO Eco Award. Flindt was designed in 2011 by the Danish designer Christian Flindt.
In 2014 the Flindt bollard received Elforskningsprisen from the Danish Energy Association. Flindt was designed in 2011 by the Danish designer Christian Flindt.

The beautiful Rubbie bollard received the Lighting Design Award External Luminaires in 2011 from the British Lighting Design Award. Rubbie was designed in 2010 by the Dane Peter Bysted.
In 2011 Ballerup received the ARC Exellence in Advertising Award Competition Award from the American Architectural Record. Ballerup was designed back in 1963 by the Danes P. Hougaard and C.J. Nørgaard Pedersen.
The international AIA Honors for Collaborative Achievement Award therefore also has a special significance to us. The prize is awarded by the American Institute of Architects to "a company which has had a beneficial influence on or advanced the architectural profession". Louis Poulsen is the first lighting company in the world to receive the Award.

In 2006 the IPR14 accent received the FX Award from the FX Awards in Great Britain.

In 1999 the suspended pendant Malmø T16 received the prize 'Superb Swedish Design' from the Swedish Design association.
In 1999 both the Kipp Post and the Terminal Post received the German IF Award from the German Industrie Forum Design in Hannover.
In 1997 the PH5 Classic (called PH 5 Plus at the time) was awarded with the Good Design Foreign Product Prize by the Japanese Ministry of Trade and Industry. The prize was given specially to PH 5, as the product kept its original design value since 1958.
In 1996 the wall and table lamp Baret received the Design Prize from The Southern California Chapter of the International Interior Design Association.
