Louis Poulsen is launching a new PH table lamp in September. The table lamp belongs to the 2/1 family, which also includes a chandelier, a pendant and a wall light.
The PH 2/1 table lamp is the smallest of the PH three-shade families, and its size offers unique placement flexibility in rooms where one wants to create small points of light to add atmosphere or highlight the room dimensions.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family, Louis Poulsen has developed an outdoor fixture that stays true to the design and lighting idea of Arne Jacobsen. On top of that, the fixture is fitted with LED.
For 50 years, Louis Poulsen has been marketing the AJ lamp, one of the design icons of Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. Its silhouette is instantly recognisable worldwide.
It’s a fixture….
Danish designer Ole Jensen teamed up with Louis Poulsen to redefine the concept of a fixture.
Ole Jensen is renowned for his “self-explanatory” designs. No one doubts the use of his designs – they literally enlighten us about it. So what could be more natural than him trying his hand at creating a light fixture.
Actually, he ended up with all of three fixtures: a table lamp, a wall fixture and a floor lamp. To simplify things, they are all called OJ.
Louis Poulsen traditionally invests a great deal of care in choosing light sources for the products, anchored in the company product philosophy.
All the Louis Poulsen products presented at light+building 2010 have been subjected to this extra careful consideration. In our view, LED is a sensible and excellent alternative to existing light sources for the range of products we showcase. The dawning of an era which will be updated regularly as the LED develops. A development which has really just started in general lighting.
