Meet the designers behind the new products from Louis Poulsen at Light + Building in Frankfurt 2008

02. F+P - Fixture designed by Foster + Partners expresses the very transference of light
Foster 550 is the first of a brand new range of lighting fixtures, the result of an exciting and productive partnership between Louis Poulsen and Foster + Partners. The design teams were convinced that there was a way to use large numbers of LEDs to create a fixture that did not just challenge the technical limits of LEDs, but surpassed the functional to achieve a fixture appropriate for the Louis Poulsen portfolio.

03. Snow - Fixture from Louise Campbell brings a sense of winterlight into the room
Louise Campbell has previously teamed up with Louis Poulsen to create two fixtures that both capture the essence of summer sunlight filtering through foliage. The talented designer has now created Snow, an unconventional fixture that brings a sense of winter light reflecting off snow right into a room.

04. PH Artichoke Glass - Famous fixture in new, elegant, exclusive version
One of the world’s most renowned lighting fixtures, PH Artichoke, now comes as a standard glass version fixture. A few (custom design) versions were previously made of PH Artichoke in glass. Now, in 2008, the fixture’s 50th anniversary paves the way for a re-introduction of the glass version as a permanent member of the exclusive range.

05. Campbell 275 & 210 - Evocative fixtures with sophisticated light distribution
The 2003 launch of Campbell 275 marked the beginning of the cooperation between talented designer Louise Campbell and Louis Poulsen Lighting – a working relationship that has resulted in a number of innovative fixtures. The Campbell series was extended with a small version, Campbell 210, in 2006.

06. Collage - Fixture inspired by nature
Louise Campbell was inspired by nature’s own light source when she created Collage. The idea arose out of the image of sun rays finding their way through tree foliage, leaving a shimmering trace of light and shadow.

07. Enigma - Elegant pendant series
The Enigma series found its inspiration in Japanese lighting culture and shares the lighting philosophy of glare-free, comfortable light with all other fixtures from Louis Poulsen Lighting.

08. Flindt - Three fixtures in light and unpretentious design
In introducing the Flindt series, Louis Poulsen Lighting stroke a light cord in the company’s fixture range. The Flindt series came about in a partnership with Christian Flindt – a young designer who has, through his original and highly expressive design idiom, quickly made a name for himself nationally and internationally.

09. LP Hint – flexible lamp-post in pure design
Louis Poulsen Lighting added LP Hint to its range of outdoor lamp-posts. The fixture represents our partnership with Swedish designer Helena Tatjana Eliason.

10. PH 3/2 - Classic PH fixtures in black chrome finish
Two of the most popular fixtures of the Louis Poulsen classic range – PH 3/2 table and pendant – are available in new, black chrome-plated versions.

11. PH Artichoke – A lighting fixtures icon
Poul Henningsen created the PH Artichoke in a partnership with Louis Poulsen more than 40 years ago, and since then it has remained a unique masterpiece of lighting. The direct light from the light source strikes the white undersides of the copper leaves and is reflected in the underlying upper sides of the Artichoke leaves.

12. Teherani - Downlight with a twist
In a partnership with the Hamburg-based, internationally celebrated architect Hadi Teherani, Louis Poulsen Lighting created a downlight, named Teherani after the designer.

13. Transair - A spotlight system with a wealth of applications
Louis Poulsen Lighting offers a spotlight system – Transair – in an idiom developed in a partnership with the famous, British designer Ross Lovegrove.
