Airport is able to provide high ceiling spaces with general illumination, both as direct and indirect light. Depending on the surface of the large reflector, the illumination will be characterized as either having a wide or narrow beam spread.

Originally Airport was designed for the airport in Munich, Germany. Munich Airport was designed in a high-tech style with visible steel structures and a lot of glass; the type of architecture that looks like a piece of machinery. The Airport was designed to fulfill the required lighting characteristics for a high ceiling space in connection with air traffic, and also to be fit into the architectural style.
